The Manatee Community Concert Band is dedicated to the community band tradition, bringing together musicians of all ages and backgrounds, from students to retirees, who share a love of making music.

Membership is open to musicians with solid experience on their instrument, even if it has been many years since they last played. Prospective members should be comfortable reading music and committed to preparing their individual parts, attending rehearsals regularly, and performing in concerts throughout the season.

Please note: You do not need to be a resident of Manatee County to become a member of the Band.

Our concert season runs from October through April and includes five performances at the Neel Performing Arts Center, along with possible additional concerts at community venues throughout the area. The Band also offers a summer program in August, featuring one or two additional satellite performances.

If you are interested in joining the Band, please contact our Music Director, Lynn Cleary, at director.manateeconcertband@gmail.com. She will be happy to discuss your musical background and help determine whether the Manatee Community Concert Band is the right fit for you.
